Here’s the breakdown

Let’s say we start with content production.

Q: What does it bring to the table?

A: It brings your readers an idea of who you are and what you do. Just the basics. You and Your Work.

Next. After we are done with building your presence on the internet,

We will do Search Engine Optimization.

This will put you in front of your potential customers.

These people are actively searching for your services.

For example:

Look at this data,

More than 45,000 people in the US are searching for content marketing services, which is what I provide as a service.

So, I am writing this blog post about what I do.

Similarly, once your target customers read about your expertise and services, they will likely consider you as an option.

Next, once your target customers are start visiting your website you will have to convince them to buy from you.

This is where Conversion Rate Optimization will come into play.

First, what’s a conversion?

Typically, a conversion means that one of your website visitors did an action you wanted them to do.

It could be clicking a link, filling up a form, signing up for a newsletter, downloading a guide, etc.

Now, how to optimize the rate of conversions?

To make this simpler, let’s assume I have a shop where I sell shoes.

I start getting visitors to my shops.

To make them purchase, I cannot directly ask them to choose a shoe and pay me.

I will have to take them through a few steps to make them comfortable with buying a shoe from me.

Here a few steps I will do:

  1. Let them browse through my shoe collection.
  2. Assist them with finding a few shoes of their choice, size, and occasion, if any.
  3. Tell them about the difference between the shoes they have finalized upon.
  4. Let them try out all the finalized shoes.
  5. Let them know, which one you think as a shoe expert will be the best for their purpose.
  6. Let them know why their choice is justified against the price.
  7. When done right, you get a conversion/customer. Congratulations!

Each of the steps above are all some form of conversion.

All of them together lead a visitor down a sales funnel where making a purchase is the ultimate conversion.

These all are tailored to your requirement; the content, SEO, CRO.
